Dirk Simanek,
CTO ARTOPTION GmbH
Dirk Simanek, born in 1966, lives with his wife and family dog in East Westphalia-Lippe. Simanek trained as an offset and letterpress printer and printing technician and is also a qualified media designer. In addition to numerous technical presentations, he has published various training videos during his more than 20 years of self-employment (video2brain) and has been a strong advocate for the practical and understandable use of color management in digital printing.
Having developed and implemented the workflow at one of Europe's largest online printers, this know-how is now available to all printers as an intuitive cloud-based solution. Since 2019, Simanek has been the chief operating officer (CTO) at Artoption GmbH. Together with his team and technology partner Peter Kleinheider (calibrate Workflow-Consulting GmbH), he developed the first global, professional cloud-based print data check "3CPDF".
Simanek is a recognized expert in the field of PDF prepress and a member of the Ghent Workgroup and the PDF Association.
