Stefan Höynck is a true veteran of the print and publishing industry—for over 40 years, his life has revolved around printing. He started out as an offset printer and later earned a degree in printing technology. Since 1999, he has been an integral part of the North-West Printing and Media Association, where he currently serves as deputy managing director and oversees member support and recruitment.
For him, print is not just a job, but a true passion—he lives and breathes printing. His favorite product? Naturally, the association’s magazine “NUTZEN,” for which he regularly interviews new members and compiles exciting insights from the industry.
One topic particularly close to his heart is sustainability in print and media production. It bothers him that print is often blanketly labeled as unsustainable—without a nuanced view of modern production processes, certified materials, and efficient value chains. Just how responsible and sustainable print can actually be today is demonstrated by the “Sustainable Print & Media” lecture series, curated by the North-West Printing and Media Association—featuring exciting insights, concrete practical examples, and innovative approaches from the industry.
